ACT

Spring 2024

All juniors will take the ACT at NJSHS on sometime over the course of February 27-29, March 1, 2024 or March 4-8, 2024 from 8:15am-12:00pm. There is no cost for the test. You do not need to complete a separate registration.  Participants will include students who attend NJSHS, IEC, and FCCC.  It is the one time free administration in an online format.  It will not include the writing section.  Students should check their email regularly as details will be sent in the future.

Upon completion of the ACT, all (NJSHS, IEC, and FCCC) juniors will be released from school and may go home for the remainder of the day.  Juniors will not report to their afternoon classes.  Transportation will not be provided.  Students will need to arrange their own transportation, unless they elect to ride the buses at their normal times after the school day ends.  If you decide to ride the bus at the end of the day, you must follow your normal class schedule until the school day ends.

 

Tuesday, February 27, 2024 - all FCCC juniors will take the ACT at NJSHS (8:10-12:10pm).  Students will be excused to return home for the day after the ACT.

Monday, March 4, 2024 - NHS juniors last name A-J will take the ACT at NJSHS (8:10-12:10pm).  Students will be excused to return home for the day after the ACT.

Tuesday, March 5, 2024 - NHS juniors last name K-Z will take the ACT at NJSHS (8:10-12:10pm).  Students will be excused to return home for the day after the ACT.

 

Advanced Placement Tests

The current dates for the Advanced Placement (AP) Tests are:

  • English Literature - (8:00am) Wednesday, May 8, 2024
  • US History - (8:00am) Friday, May 10, 2024
  • English Composition - (8:00am) Tuesday, May 14, 2024

 

Ohio State Tests and End-Of-Course Tests

EOC / OST Testing window 2024:  School districts select 15 consecutive school days, including makeups within the testing window:

  • English language arts - March 25 to April 26, 2024
  • Mathematics, science, and social studies - April 1 to May 15, 2024

 

Wednesday, April 17 (B1-Day with No I&E) 2-hour delay for non-testing students.  Students who are testing need to report on time by 8:10am.  All 7th & 8th graders report as normal by 8:10am.  Testing is from 8:10-10:10am.  All other students need to report by 10:10am.  The building will run on a 2-hour delay schedule.  If you are a bus rider who is not taking the test and need to arrive by 8:10am, report to the multi-purpose room for study hall.

  • ELA 2, ELA 7, & ELA 8 (Part 1)

 

Thursday, April 18 (B2-Day with No I&E) 2-hour delay for non-testing students.  Students who are testing need to report on time by 8:10am.  All 7th & 8th graders report as normal by 8:10am.  Testing is from 8:10-10:10am.  All other students need to report by 10:10am.  The building will run on a 2-hour delay schedule.  If you are a bus rider who is not taking the test and need to arrive by 8:10am, report to the multi-purpose room for study hall.

  • ELA 2, ELA 7, & ELA 8 (Part 2)
