This elective course is designed to offer a “hands-on” approach to physical fitness, diet/nutrition, and total wellness. Students will participate in a variety of physical activities while monitoring their overall level of fitness on a weekly basis. Highlights include, but are not limited to, body composition & analysis, strength training, cardiovascular training, nutritional analysis, research based projects, motivation, injury prevention and care, as well as exploring current trends in fitness, wellness, & nutrition. The course will include a classroom component, as well as a fitness or “lab” component.
