Engineering Courses at Automatic Feed Co. (CCP)

INTRO. To ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY - (STEM) & (CC+)

This course introduces the field of engineering to the student who is interested in engineering technologies. It explores multiple disciplines and careers available. Additionally, the student will solidify knowledge of basic mathematics, measurements systems, and computer sills necessary to succeed in an engineering environment.

 

PRINT READING & SKETCHING - (STEM) & (CC+)

Students wishing to continue to work in the area of engineering will focus studies on print reading and sketching includes the alphabet of lines, orthographic projection,, ordinary views, section views, auxiliary  views,  pictorial  sketching,  dimensioning,  tolerancing,  screw threads and fasteners, mathematics for design and an introduction to geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

 

MANUFACTORING PROCESSES - (STEM) & (CC+)

The focus of this course is to provide the student with an introduction to the theory of the common major manufacturing processes. The major manufacturing processes (methods used to convert raw materials into finished products) are described and compared. Emphasis is placed on how each process works and its relative advantages and disadvantages. Students will have the opportunity to observe processes via field trips as such opportunities are available.

 

INDUSTRIAL COMPUTING I - (STEM) & (CC+)

This course is a study of the application of computer systems as found in an industrial environment.  The focus of this class will be on operating systems, networking and computer hardware. This class will be taught at an applied level for the skill trades.
