Digital Photography

The semester long course is designed to provide self-directed and advanced instruction and knowledge of digital photography. Students will explore the history of photography and learn about its technological developments. They will study various professional photographers throughout world history, making connections to their own personal style. On a daily basis, students will be shooting photos and evaluating each others works. Digital processing techniques will be introduced through adobe photoshop. Commercial photography will also be explored with guest speakers providing a hands-on experience for students. Students will create a professional portfolio by the end of the course.
