Full Year Course Prerequisite: Art 2 Grades 11-12 1 credit
The course will develop skills, creativity, and individual interpretation through concentrated study in specific
media areas. Students will learn some new, more advanced techniques and media. Students will continue to refine
and master skills previously learned. Areas to be covered on a nine-week basis include drawing, painting, ceramics,
design, metals, printmaking, and art history. Concept development, focusing on contemporary art ideas, is at the
forefront of all projects. Students are expected to allow for time outside of class to complete work satisfactorily. Students must pay a lab fee with this course.
